The Environment Agency needed a series of case studies to communicate anti-pollution and recycling messages to farmers relating to slurry, plastic, run-off and manure.

The project involved editing a four-document suite from draft copy to ensure consistency of tone of voice and structure.

RED works with academic, student and entrepreneur communities both within and outside the University of Bristol – providing advice and support across the broad and fascinating landscape of research and enterprise activities.

The project involved agreeing the structure of the 22-page document with the commissioning team, arranging and carrying out face-to-face interviews for the profile pieces, as well as editing content from a variety of other sources.

AkzoNobel GIS, is the worldwide branding arm of Dutch paints and coatings giant Akzo Nobel which services McDonalds, Volvo and other leading brands. This is a fresh take on standard B2B product brochures and breathes lifes into Akzo Nobel coatings.

The  project involved writing all copy to newly established tone of voice guidelines, drawing on draft material supplied from multiple sources, including ‘non native’ English drafts.

Major international charity Save The Children commissioned a two-year study into the impact of poverty on young people’s access to services in Scotland. This resulted in the 120+ page report ‘Serving Children?’.

I was commissioned to edit two 6-page report versions – one for young people aged 10 to 14, the other for adults. The project involved distilling key messages from the full-length report relevant to each audience and devising an appropriate tone of voice.
