After graduating from the University of St Andrews, I kicked off my career with several educational years in marketing management with blue chips American Express and Thomson Travel. Only then did I become a full-time copywriter in off- and online communications.
So what tipped me over to the dark side? It was simple. I found words a whole more more fun to work with than numbers.
From graphic designers to marketing ‘end-users’
My copywriting clients now range from graphic designers, web developers, marketing and PR consultancies through to ‘end users’ such as marketing departments in companies and public sector organisations large and small.
You name it, I’ve probably written about it. From engineering, education and luxury jewellery, through to financial services, software, hotels and artisan Irish cheeses. Whatever your needs and business focus, I’m sure I can help you.
Copywriting courses too
Although first and foremost a copywriter, I’ve also been offering in-house copywriting training courses ever since a client asked me to create a course for a 12-strong marketing team. Find out more about customised copywriting courses at my dedicated training site.
